“I Got Tagged!”

Small talk : I so tulan sometimes with people comparing what I write with what others write on their blog. I mean, why can’t just you fucking retards leave me alone? I mean, I write what I want to and what right do you think you have to think that my blog is crap? Okay, maybe you’re entitled to your own fucking retarded thoughts coming out from your fucking dysfunctional piece of shit brain. Define pro blogger?

You know, It has been ages since I last got tagged. I’m happy to be tagged. Now, Kopi Soh tagged me to do a mag cover. And I gladly accepted the tag. (better give me some belated birthday presents for doing this) So here you are, the latest issue of Rolling Stones! Rock on dudes and duddettes!

Now, I don’t care .. by hook or by crook you must do this tag. If you don’t do this, consider me not your friend anymore! I don’t want to be friend with people who don’t want to be tagged. And so I picked the most inactive bunch in my blogroll. *Drum rolls*

Drumsticks
Lola
Fairy Delle
Ah Jing
Charyelle

I really mean what I said … So, you better do it!

P/S : Suituapui, where are your naked pics?

Small talk : Remember last time I told you guys that my Streamyx got into NPL? I got it back. That explains the mysterious disappearance of cibol from the blogosphere these past few days. I tell you, living without internet for just one day can really kill me!

And there was sunlight …

And what can you see?

Nothing right?

At least can see a bit .. of me

And C-P

And lots and lotsa people …

And this is what you get for RM98!

No, I’m not frustrated. In fact I enjoyed my time throughout the whole concert.

We were actually quite late for the concert and being me myself not having enough sleep the night before doesn’t really help but we braved our sleepy eyes and put some energy on. This is my first ever concert in 3 years. The last one was when Incubus was in KL and that was back in 2005. This time around, I’m gonna make it. I missed a lot of concerts ever since I decided to go back to Bintulu.

How would I describe the atmosphere? Awesome, that’s the only word for it. The crowd was huge! I love it man …

Because of my shit photo taking skills, I decided to google around and found this guy. He got nice shots - Kien Huo

The crowd was …

This was taken during the first song I guess .. I can’t read Chinese, but I think I know how the song goes!

Aiyo, why la superstars have to wear something so … out of this world. Geez!

I like this one …

he actually sang Suituapui’s favourite song, “Huo Yuan Jia” I called STP up but then I don’t know he picked it up or not but I can’t hear anything. So, I just “kuo kuo kuo kuo kuo” all the way!

This is the cowboy song. It’s very irritating actually but somehow during the concert I managed to clap and dance to it. I think the same goes to Charyelle, she was there too.

Fancy this type? Alamak …

I was hoping that he would sing a loty of songs from his latest album but surprisingly he didn’t. He sang like maybe around 20 songs, I lost count - He didn’t sing “Wo Bu Pei“. I’m a bit disappointed but at least he sang “Cai Hong

But he did sang …

My fav song …

Small talk : I landed at Bintulu airport on board AK5272 sharp at 1645. I’m gonna missed KL though. I need some sleep!

Another day, another year and yes, I got older! You don’t have to remind me of that. I had my birthday party at Finnegan’s, Jalan Sultan Ismail last Friday.

To be honest with you, this was my first time celebrating something like this in a place like this. I don’t really know what to call the place but it’s the place la safe to say. I’m making you blurr? Finnegan’s , Sultan Ismail (F3) - is the 3rd edition to the Finnegan’s family. Catering to passing tourists, hungry and thirsty from their shopping and locals from offices in and around the Golden Triangle. Finnegan’s Sultan Ismail is defiantly an eye catcher as you drive by, with its bright green and yellow exterior, tanned tourists and superbly well dressed city folks all enjoying their drinks on a veranda from an old heritage bungalow.

This year around, to celebrate the launch of my new blog I decided to throw a party for friends in KL. I’m no femes bloger as per say but this is just what I can afford, the whole second floor of Finnegan’s and I must thank Rory for making things happen. You rock, gurl!

Rory, the person behind the success of this event!

I was so damn worried about the whole thing and I think I did contribute to all the stress that she was feeling all these while. How can I not be worried, this is my first time and I don’t want anything to go wrong lerr .. But as I said earlier, she did a great job! I owe her a lot.

I actually arrived at the place a little late because we were stuck in a jam somewhere in PJ. I tell you, it was one helluva jam! During that period of time, Rory keep on calling and SMSing me asking me where the hell I am and sort, she got worried because I was not there and so are the rest but to my surprise, Ah Jing came in first with Alice! The two wonderful Sarikeian blogger!

Alice not happy that I finished all the kalamari all by myself. She is a big fan of sotongs also

Charyelle on high!

List of attendees :

Bongkersz - The Flaccid Mind
Charyelle - Writing Upon A Star
Oink - Used to be “The Lamp Post” and “The Scorched Firefly”
Ah Jing - Access Granted
Alice - Dejavu World
Clare - Kampua Talk
Alvin Chong - Alvin’s Weblog
Rory - Fairy Delle
Drumsticks - An Empty Bottle

I think it would not be complete if they didn’t asked me to sing a few songs. And so, I did .. I sang “Over You - Chris Daughtry” and “All About Loving You - Bon Jovi”.

Trying very hard to catch the highest note! Go Cibol!

This cake is super ass keras. It’s on the house. Thanks guys!

A terbalik view taken from Charyelle’s blog

The ultimate test was the Flaming Lambourghini! Oink, I wished you’d had briefed me in details what to do because at the end of it I think I burnt my nostrils gua …

Like drinking a hot boiling milo with a straw …

Ah Jing control hensem …

With Clare, the Kampua Queen …

Drumsticks can’t wait to eat while I make my wish …

Rory giving us some instructions on how to sing Happy Birthday in a correct tone …

We’re done with the place at about 1:30 PM and next destination was …

Karaoke lor .. where else …

The Dixie Chix + A guy (Drumsticks, Rory, Charyelle & Bongkersz)

We actually ended the day at 4:00 AM, everybody was sleepy …

I will be back with more pictures when I finally got them.

I would like to thank Finnegan’s staff especially to Celest, the outlet manager. Dude, you rock!

“Lunch At Prego, Westin KL”

Small talk : The birthday party was a blast. I would like to thank everyone for coming and especially to Rory, I owe you a lot!

I had the opportunity to sit down and had a fine lunch at Prego, Westin courtesy of Suituapui. To be honest, this is my first time eating in a very super high class place. I must admit I did a little bit intimidated by the sorroundings though. To begin with, this is not the kind of place that I always lepak and I know very shallow of Italian food. I like the modern and stylish with an Open Kitchen concept of the restaurant. It’s really a class!

I kinda like the place (of course la, who doesn’t). It’s very classy, sleek .. Wow! What a place I’d say. Being to the place for the first time I actually took a while to actually to locate where exactly Westin is and also to study what is the fastest way for me to get to Westin after my appointment from Jalan Perak. It’s not that far but I need a faster way to get to Bukit Bintang station to pick Nat up for lunch.

Luckily i was all dressed up in my formal attire. If not, well .. it doesn’t really matter anyway.

Was trying this one out .. Cool!

For the lunch set, we got to choose a two course meal which can be either Starters & Main course, Main course & Desserts or Desserts & Starters (Of course you wouldn’t want to miss the main course la. I’m impressed!

That’s our super big ass lunch bread served with some spicy tomato dip, one becomes full from the bread before the actual meal before you know it. But we didn’t actually tried much of that since the waitress took it away before we finish eating.

For our main course I ordered for a …

Actually I forgot the name, it was quite long so I couldn’t be bothered.

While on the other hand, Nat opted for …

Also, I forgot the name but if I’m not mistaken it was Mushroom Saffron Risotto

We pretty much enjoyed the main course. It was fantastic. Now time for desserts!

How was that? White chocolate ice cream

Now, comes to the funny part. I actually thought that everything I ordered from the menu was included in the voucher. So, right after meal we went out straight to the doors only to be called by the waitress again.

“Sir, you forgot to pay for your drinks”

You know I actually was quite embarassed that time but I kept cool. I went to the counter and paid the for the drink. Gosh! I thought I was so lucky that she didn’t use any hellar or something like that. Paiseh!

This cost me RM 30.00

Small talk : I safely landed at LCCT at 1745 today. As I step out of AK5723, I was greeted by HAZE!

This is really like one back dated post! Wanted to post this up earlier but then I had so much things to say until I forgot about this post. So, sorry lor …

I reached Sibu at about 9:30 PM on new year’s eve. I got the chance to meet Bengbeng and the whole family upon arrival. Finally, I met this legendary blogger! And the first place he took me to …

Just enjoy the pics.

Benghui and me .. and another bugger

I thought this is pretty impressive

Just outside the temple

I will be back with more updates soon .. Tired. I better call it a day!

I’ve said this so many times. I want to travel. I really really really really want to travel abroad. I want to step out from this country at least for a while, maybe for a vacation perhaps. Nowadays, air ticket prices are very tempting. It triggers the thought of going off for a vacation.

I have this ultimate goal of visiting one country every year. Well, that might sounds a little bit extravagant for a noob like me. Maybe I could just start by visiting the neighbouring countries. Blah .. Whatever! Any country would do. I think I could use some colors to my blog. It’ll be nice once in a while documenting on your thrills of adventures. I like that.

A friend text-ed me around midnight when I was actually already so deep in my dreams and she said:

Now go Macao got free seats! … Go check

No, not that I’m going to Macao. Nothing like that

Well, nothing is really free la. That’s just the trick but anyway, the point is ticket is now so cheap and of course if you’re not fussy about what airlines to use or what to eat on board I’d say why not just go on board with louya low cost carrier. Any of them would do I guess because sometimes they offer low prices which includes accommodations as well. It will at least save you some time to look for hotels and stuffs like that.

What I’m more interested on is back packing. I’m just so not into organized tours, you know where you go and board this bas persiaran. I’m so not good at this because to be honest, I never really step out of Malaysiaku Gemilang, Negara CemerlangBolehwood! The closest that I’ve been to was when I was stranded at Changi airport back a few years ago while on board from Kuching to KL. So, the Sakai me saw Singapore for the first time la. Saw only, not step into it.

Now, I’m planning to go to Gold Coast somewhere around spring next year. Planning only, nothing is confirmed yet. Don’t go gaga over it okay? The initial plan was me and this friend of mine wanted to go to South Korea but considering that air ticket to Korea is will take a hefty sum of money, we decided to put that trip on hold maybe until 2010 or so. And so we decided to go to Gold Coast instead.

Uploaded by moritz1128, Flickr

Of course I have to do research about the place and the most important thing would be saving some bucks to go there of course. Not that the money part that I’m worried about but the fact that I never travel abroad really bothers me. How I wished there is a step by step guide of what should I do first and what not .. Boy, that’s a lot of reading.

I need to know a lot of stuffs like,

Where to go?
How to go?
How much will I spend?
What will I do there?

You know, planning and budgeting. Of course I want it to be worth every dime I paid for it. It would really help if there’s somebody you know that you could ask for help in terms of giving you opinions of what to do and what not to do and stuffs like that. *sigh*

Now, any of you have been there? Or staying nearby there – That would be better of course. LOL! I’ll bring some goodies over.

Small talk : Gooners are now Goners, It’s ok la. No big deal. We take all of the cups then. While typing this I’m listening to Kopi Soh’s Kuch Kuch Hota Hai

Uploaded by JKonig, Flickr

for us who blogs regularly, often we were asked these questions :

  • Why do you blog?
  • What’s so fun about blogging?
  • What you get from blogging?

and these questions often or most likely would come from

1) Non blogger
2) Those who use to have a blog but halfway through it they dump it
3) Your mom

Yes, and they will continue and continue to nag you. You won’t be able to stop them from asking you that and you won’t be able to educate them on what is blogging all about either. I tell you, it is very very hard. So, don’t waste your time explaining. Just don’t try to explain and just keep it that way. I guess that’s the best way to deal with it.

Why do I blog? It’s simple. I love it; I like it and I am now enjoying it to the fullest. I find that it’s the best way so far to EMC = Express Myself Clearly! there’s no rocket science involved. It’s just about translating my thoughts into words. It’s as simple as that. It’s like I’m a writer; one who wrote about my own thoughts in my own words. That doesn’t really sounds right but heck do I care, you got what I mean.

They way I see it, a new way of socializing, acquiring new friends and the most important thing, communicating with people everywhere. It’s a new way of interaction. It’s like, we are now talking - I am now talking to you and vice versa.

It’s not really about money now because you see, at this current moment, everybody blogs. Everybody owns a blog. (Except for Suituapui, he’s in a different league). Chances of people reading your blog? Chances of you getting paid so much and can stay away from your 9-5 job? Neh … Unless you’re that femes blogger, with 20,000 unique hits daily, adored by under-aged juvenile (of course they’re under-aged. if not they would not be called juvenile you idiot!) and all the bling bling nothing to do soccermoms and those hoocie mommas than only you can afford to go monkey-ing around halfway around the globe and tell the whole world of your sexciting sexcapades!

Fuh …

Somehow, I sense frustrations there. let’s get back to the real thing, shall we?

  • Why do I blog?
  • Why do I even bother to read so many blogs?
  • Why I spent so much time staring and keep on refreshing the same page for God knows how many times and for how long just to see whether I have new comments or not?

Well …

I’m A-Dick-ted!

Small Talk : Another three more days before I reached KL. See you guys there! I can’t wait

Okay, I must confess. I am a fan, not just a fan but a big fan of Jay Chou!

A lot of people had been asking why the hell is someone who doesn’t speak Chinese and only understand a little, listening to Chinese songs and adoring a Chinese superstar? I said oh, come one, like those people who likes Korean dramas knows Korean in the first place?

The point is, music is universal for me. language is not the barrier but of course to understand the music you need to understand the language but to enjoy the music and feel so sooth by the melody do you have to? I don’t think so. Language is not a barrier. Sometimes I really hate those people who always think that the best music must come from the US. If you don’t listen to Snoop Dogg, Mariah Carey, Sean Paul then you’re not cool. So I just want to ask you this, do you know music after all? I’m not saying that I do but what right do you have to say that my music taste’s sucks?

Enough of that ramblings. Well, you might be curious why I listen to Jay Chou .. maybe you’re not but then again he’s a very talented young lad I must say. Singer, songwriter, actor, director and a superstar for God sake! Basically what drew me to his music is the talent that he has. I always admire musicians who write their own songs, their own music and this somehow telling the world that they’re no joke to the industry. I have my utmost respect for these people.

He’s not that drop dead handsome to begin with. He’s not the type that when girls look at him they can fall in love and drool over him for the first time. He doesn’t have that look. He paved his way up solely by showcasing his talents to the whole wide world. That is the thing that I want to see in an artist. the keyword here is talent! I don’t go gaga over someone who mime’s all the way through his or her concert, no I don’t. in fact if I ever did come to a concert like that I might regret it my whole life paying for a mime which basically my grandma can do better.

Oh, this must be a long one. Well, enough said.

Jay Chou World Tour 2008 : Malaysia

I’ll be coming for this one and I can’t wait.

Just for fun, this one is a tribute to Jay Chou .. Whooopi! I sang in Chinese and record it for the first time. This is supposed to be a duet song. I couldn’t find anyone to do a duet with me. This one is called “Shan Hu Hai“, taken from the album “November’s Choppin” by Jay Chou and Lara. Enjoy the song! Bear with the broken Chinese!

OK - Video Up!
