“Banks to be blamed for ATM robberies”

Small talk : Just landed in KL from Miri a few hours ago. I will miss that place dearly. Will be updating my blog with the trip.

Banks and financial institutions are primarily responsible for the robberies that occur at their outlets, says Federal CID director Commissioner Datuk Mohd Bakri Zinin.

He said the recent spate of robberies of and from the automatic teller machines (ATM) was due to their negligence.

“We have found that most banks and financial institutions do not upgrade or maintain their security systems like they are supposed to.

“Our findings also show that some robberies involved staff and security personnel that the banks failed to monitor properly,”

When I first read of this piece of news, the first thing that came to my mind was yes, it’s the aged old classic finger pointing again. It’s just like rape cases on high due to sexiness and perhaps applying lipsticks and wearing high heels, whichever you like in the first place.

Some of the remarks like “alert us immidiately on the incident so that we can deploy a patrol car” seems to be a lil bit off for me. If you are refferring to the case above who would be at any bank at 530 AM in KL?

If you’re talking about alarm and all, any noise would easily trigger the banks alarm already and to take out an ATM machine from the bank’swall would take at least 15 minutes. So, I’m curious whether this fella ever seen an ATM before? Do you know how big is an ATM? It is not just a piece meta stuck to the wall as it seems you know. It’s huge and heavy and even with a backhoe it will take time to be taken away.

Talk about security, alarm should have been triggered by then and at any ATM there will be an alarm device or whatever you call it - attached to any external unit of ATM. If anything happen, it should have alerted the security center and given the fact that ATMs are not that easy to be removed, there should be enough time for the patrol to be there on time and all these talks about tight security, CCTV and whatever shit really confused me.

Talk is cheap, next time. Think before you talk, do your homework before you make any remarks. I pity you for what you’ve said Commissioner. You’re just as dumb as I think you are.

“Turban Legends”

Small Talk : I know, again I change my theme. I can’t help it

The turban (from Persian دلبند or دولبند, dulband via the Turkish tülbent) is a headdress consisting of a long scarf-like single piece of cloth wound round the head or an inner hat.

In a short, it’s a piece of clothe wrapped up around your head.

The men of many Islamic cultures have worn or wear a headdress of some sort that may be considered a turban. Islam however does not require any sort of head wrap or headdress except for a woman’s headscarf. Head wraps that men wear are called several names and worn in different ways dependent on region and culture. Examples include Umamah (Arabic: عمامة) in Arabic, and dastār (Persian: دستار) in Persian.

And now

Helmet is a type of protective headgear used by motorcycle riders. The primary goal of a motorcycle helmet is motorcycle safety - to protect the rider’s head during impact, thus preventing or reducing head injury or saving the rider’s life. Some helmets provide additional conveniences, such as ventilation, face shields, ear protection, intercom etc.

A question has arisen in the small town of Kota Bharu whether it is an offence to wear the “serban” instead of helmets according to The Star and I find that it is rather amusing how people would think twice whether it is good or not to wear “serban” on the road. I am truly impressed by the shallowness and the short mindedness of these people who think it is ok to do so.

And the way that the State police chief Senior Asst Commissioner is dealing with it is for me far from pleasing because this is just some things that you actually do not have to take a lot of time to think whether it is right or wrong or the ban should be imposed or not. I do not think that you need to interprate the fucking traffic ordinance or whatsoever and to have it studied from A-Z whether it is right or not you fucking dickhead.

Personally for me there should not be a question whether to wear or not to wear because it is all about safety. If you think that your “serban” can save you from cracking your skull, go ahead!

“Are You Out of Your Fucking Mind?”

I might not be the best person to talk about this matter. But since everyone has been talking about the issue, I decided to pen down my thought in this post. No, I would not like to call it an article of my own as most of the things that I know came from the sources that you might have came across in plight of searching for an answer to the question of why is this ridiculous sudden hike of petrol price.

Nothing last forever … And the matters at hand are shelled out like lint at a Laundromat to sift and focus on the bigger, better, NOW : Where have all the huge amounts of Petronas money gone to? There are rumors out there saying that the nation’s biggest oil digging company will go down to the fucking ground by the year 2018 AD! Sanctimonious pretentious dastardly bastards with their thumb on the pulse and a finger on the trigger

CLASSIFIED MY ASS THAT’S A FUCKING SECRET AND YOU FUCKING KNOW IT!

Government is another way to say better, than, you!

What’s the secret all about? Translucent flesh and feeble bones? The kind of temple where the whores and villians try to tempt the holistic tones, but they just can’t.

Running rampant with free thoughts to free form the free and clear The Petronas agreements have been classified secret. Why? What clauses are in the agreement that the people should not know? This secrecy also includes the secrecy of Petronas’ detailed annual report which is shielded from public scrutiny, making it an organization without public accountability. Now, do you think you serve a purpose or purposely serve?

We all have heard rumors that the oil produced by Petronas is not sold directly to the world market but is channeled through a few Beavis and Butthead who reap the benefit of the supply from our pulsating nation far below market prices. Keep your fingers crossed because the truth is all lost. There’s BUT in it but a total wreck! Try refuse, try resist.

Who the fuck are these bastards?

Why are they there in the first place?

Your whole system sucks ..

We have been spending time looking through the glass, seeing everything is just so transparent. Don’t know how much time has passed. It feels like forever but no one ever tells us that forever feels like home sitting all alone inside your head. All this is making things a bit insane.

Well, maybe what I have written down here is not really about the hike but maybe more on letting off angst out of this little piece of mind ..

P/S: Thanks to Max Cavalera and Corey Taylor for al the vocabs. You guys rocks!

Apparently, after a disappointing first season with United and Portugal being knocked out by the mighty Germans in the second round of European Championship, Nani calls it a quit to his footballing career by quitting current club Manchester United. He decided to land a job which is not related to football at all.

Maybe he thought that a more finger licking good career is a wiser decision.

Wish you all the best in life Nani.

“Brazilian Nuts in KL!”

No, No Sepultura in town.

No, not ugly Ronnie and friends either.

but …

These Brazillian nuts are here.

I was on my way back from Pavillion yesterday when I suddenly saw a big crowd in front of Sungei Wang’s Maybank. I decided to stop by and take a peek. To my surprise it was a group of nutsy Brazillian doing a demo of Capoeira. Now, doesn’t that rings a bell? Remember the movie “ONLY THE STRONG”?

Perhaps the chanting :

Paranaway .. Paranaway ..

Owh, forget it. It’s basically a Brazillian form of martial art. Capoeira is a blend of martial art, game, and dance originated from Brazil, from the regions known as Bahia, Pernambuco, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais and São Paulo. The art-form started up in Brazil during the 16th Century, an obvious result of the slave trading that took place in conjunction with the previously slaved native Indians. Capoeira was created and developed by both the native slave Indians in Brazil and slaves brought from Africa. Participants form a roda (circle) and take turns playing instruments, singing, and sparring in pairs in the center of the circle. The game is marked by fluid acrobatic play, feints, and extensive use of groundwork, as well as sweeps, kicks, and headbutts. Less frequently-used techniques include elbow-strikes, slaps, punches, and body-throws.

It’s like a blend of everything. Exercise, dancing and whatever. The songs, wow! Very very indulging. It’s very catchy until the thing keep on playing in my mind. It’s insanely catchy!

Capoeira primarily attacks with kicks, sweeps, and head strikes. Some schools teach punches and hand strikes, but they are not as common. A possible explanation for the primary use of feet is the common West African belief that hands are for creation and feet for destruction[citation needed]. Another common explanation is that slaves in Brazil were commonly shackled at the wrists, restricting them from using their hands. Lastly, striking with the hands is often seen as unelegant and disruptive to the flow of the game. Elbow strikes are commonly used in place of hand strikes. “Cabeçadas” or Headbutts are common- as they are in many of the fighting arts of the African Diaspora[citation needed]. Knee strikes are sometimes seen. Capoeira also uses acrobatic and athletic movements to maneuver around the opponent. Cartwheels called “aú” (a very common acrobatic movement), handstands (bananeira), headspins (pião de cabeça), hand-spins (pião de mão), hand-springs (gato), sitting movements, turns, jumps, flips (mortal), and large dodges are all very common in capoeira though vary greatly depending on the form and rhythm. Fakes and feints are also an extremely important element in capoeira games and the setting of “traps” or illusory movements are very common.

Capoeira defenses consists of evasive moves and rolls. A series of ducks called esquivas, which literally means “dodge”, are also staple of a capoeiristas’ defensive vocabulary. There are typically different esquivas for every step of the Ginga, depending on the direction of the kick and intention of the defender. A common defense is the rolê, which is a rolling move that combines a duck and a low movement. This move allows the defensive players to quickly evade an attack and position themselves around the aggressor in order to lay up for an attack. It is this combination of attacks and defense which gives a game of capoeira its perceived ‘fluidity’ and choreography.

Other evasive moves such as rasteira, vingativa, tesoura de mão or queda allow the capoeirista to move away or dangerously close in an attempt to trip up the aggressor in the briefest moment of vulnerability (usually in a mid-kick.)

So, you might want to watch your balls!

Music is integral to capoeira. It sets the tempo and style of game that is to be played within the roda. The music is composed of instruments and song. The tempos differ from very slow (Angola) to very fast (são bento regional). Many of the songs are sung in a call and response format while others are in the form of a narrative. Capoeiristas sing about a wide variety of subjects. Some songs are about history or stories of famous capoeiristas. Other songs attempt to inspire players to play better. Some songs are about what is going on within the roda. Sometimes the songs are about life, or love lost. Others are lighthearted or even silly things, sung just for fun. Capoeiristas change their playing style significantly as the songs or rhythm from the berimbau commands. In this manner, it is truly the music that drives capoeira.

So, I leave you guys a clip from the show.

P/S : Sorry for the blur motion. I was using my phone

“Sexy Define”

Posted by: cibol
June 21st,
2008

How do you guys define the term ’sexy’ what does it actually mean? Is it used as slang only or actually a work with meanings?

In defining sexy, there are no rules, only preferences. One man finds eyes to be a woman’s most attractive physical quality while another considers her hips or waist the most appealing. Some women like tall, dark, and handsome men; some women like smaller, blonder, even more fragile men.

Sexy will mean or bring out the same meaning in different people

For some people yummy is eating fish eggs but for some eating fish eggs is just so yucky. So Sexy among different individuals surely means a wide range of qualities. It all depends on how a person perceive sexy.

I am certain that most men would attach certain dimensions to a certain body part as their answer or that a certain sultry and seductive demeanor would add up to sexiness. But I also take exceptions with that point of view!

What I am saying is that I am not saying that attraction doesn’t have it place here; it does. Attraction is what draws people together; boy-girl, girl-girl, guy-guy – depending on your preferences - but physical attraction only adds up to a small part of the equation. I somehow believe that true sexuality comes from not whether you are sexually endowed but who you really are inside. Physical attributes only last a season, but the inner person that you are endures forever. That keeps you holding on but I don’t deny that some kinkiness can spice up things a bit.

What makes a quality steak isn’t limited to its appearance but it is in the taste. It is the inner seasonings that enhance its flavor, and it is the taste that endures in your mind, not how it looked! That raises a point; some look at women as a piece of meat. He does not see past what she has to who she is and all that she can offer. That’s blatantly thinking that it’s just a thing.

BOIKOT PETRONAS

Wahai warga Malaysia sekelian.

Semua orng tertanya-tanya mengapa kita negara pengeluar minyak kena mengikut harga minyak dunia kan.

Selama ni aku isi minyak petronas nak support produk malaysia.

On the contrary …

KUALA LUMPUR, June 18 (Bernama) — Boycotting Petronas products following the recent fuel price hike can affect all the entrepreneurs in the chain of business.

In stating this, Petronas’ president and chief executive officer Tan Sri Mohd Hassan Marican said the businesses of all those involved would suffer if there was such a boycott.

“A boycott means boycotting products at Petronas Dagangan stations. Petronas Dagangan is listed on Bursa Malaysia and the station operators are local entrepreneurs. If their businesses suffer, companies servicing them will also suffer,” Mohd Hassan said.

“It’s up to the consumers to think carefully about this,” he said when interviewed on the RTM1 programme “Meeting the Media” last night.

He was commenting on reports of a campaign to boycott Petronas products circulated by e-mail recently.

Mohd Hassan also said that the recent fuel price hike was not caused by Petronas but due to the increase in global oil prices.

“So is it fair for the station operators numbering over 800 to be punished for the high fuel prices? Up to the individual concerned to think about this,” he said.

On developing a national oil stockpile, Mohd Hassan said the cost of preparing a stockpile was huge as it required the construction of oil storage facilities.

Furthermore, as an oil exporter, Malaysia has capacity which could be used if pressured, he said.

“So I don’t think a national oil stockpile is needed because of the huge cost involved,” he added. — BERNAMA

Well, I’m not saying that he’s right. I don’t know. For what you know he might be working with ExxonMobil. Just somethin to read on a busy Friday! Have a nice day!

From Stamford Bridge to Wembley we’ll keep the blues flag flying high

What have Chelsea achieved so far this season? Being in the Champions League final that’s right. Oh! Yes, how can I forget that. How can I forget about Terry doing a Beckham at the last spot kick - No, it’s not your fault. Shit happens. Maybe I am not very much of a football fan, maybe I’m just a Chelsea fan. Maybe, definitely maybe.

There have been rumours that Frankie will be leaving Stamford Bridge to join “The Ordinary One” at San Siro next season. I just like what he said about the whole thing :

At Inter, you will never be second best

Very interesting indeed, very persuasive, very wicked I must say.

Chelsea Football Club love Frankie more than Mourinho does. Believe me when I say that. I say that because at Stamford Bridge he was never, not a game he was second best. He’s a winner. All this hoohaa about Chelsea is not the place he want to be is bullshit. I do not think that San Siro will be the place. How many Italian teams are there in the semis of last season’s champions league? Where were the untouchable Inter? No, I do not think so. Maybe I shouldn’t be judging them that way but comparatively, in the English League the tempo is higher. There’s a lot of games to be played. It’s a totally different league.

Besides, I do think Jose wants Lampard was just an act of revenge. You know things like, you sacked me and I shall make you pay! I mean his ego was bruised badly because of all that. Makan hati berulam jantung like they say. I have no doubt that he is a great coach. He proved that. For me he proved that long time ago when he was still doning FC Porto’s colour. He won the UEFA Cup and Champions League the following year. He’s amazing. Not many people can dance and run yelling along the lines at Old Trafford but he did. He is a great guy but still I’m not buying all the bull. That’s history, let it be history. It’s not like we’re a bunch of guys who always believe in olden days glory but in the present achieved next to nothing like the FOOLS. Yes, you’ll never walk alone because there’s a lot of fools like them who are still living in the past. Wake up, Ian Rush’s era is long gone.

Now there’s another interesting story for everybody. On July 1st, which I forgot what day was that, Big Phil was named as the new Chelsea boss. That’s interesting because this teddy bear samba boy is a teddy with charachter. No new face to the media, of course not England but he will be someone interesting to watch. Despite a number of big-name managers being linked with the job following Grant’s sacking last month, Scolari was always Chelsea’s number one choice. What do I think he would bring to Chelsea? More media attention, more pressure and I am very damn sure that this season is gonna be one helluva season.

Once a blue, will always be a blue!

P/S : Charyelle, a new season to look forward to eh?
