113“Wake Up nd Smell The Coffee”

Arrived in KL after a weekend of so much fun. Not so glad to be back again ..
It was a fine day. I arrive in Kuching on Friday night and it was so fortunately we managed to get a room at Harbour View hotel. A few of our bookings with other hotels had been cancelled, with the Rainforest World Music Festival happening, that is very much expected.
It was nice to just wake up early in the morning in this part of the world because everthing is so refreshing. The view, the smell .. something you just can’t get back in KL. Like the say : Nothing feels like home. I strongly agree.

Borneo Post greets me as early as 6:30 am and “A Life Less Ordinary” was on the front page! Well, that used to be my home not anymore. Texted Suituapui, bongkersz and Mar about it.
First thing in the morning, where to have breakfast? When there’s no one to walk beside you, and no one is there to guide you, who you gonna call? No, not ghost busters, who else if not Suituapui. Since he blogged so much about places to eat in Kuching, I might as well ask for his expert advice.
We had our breakfast at a coffee shop at the end ofthe block of our hotel It’s just opposite the cinema. I can’t really remember the name of the place but one of the places that Suituapui mentioned earlier on.

Kolo mee special
The kolo mee was a little bit mild in taste but the prawn covered up for the dullness of it. Earlier on Suituapui suggested Kolo Mee kosong with Beef soup and so we ordered …

Beef Soup
One of the best beef soup I’d ever had. Simply finger licking good. Breakfast woul not be complete for me if I did not have toast on the table. we called it roti kawin back home. Simple toast with kaya and butter. Love it.

And last but not least. Something that you must try here in Kuching - The few layers Teh C Peng

In a Carlsberg mug. Wow!
